About Luangisa

Founded in 1996 by members of the Luangisa family from Bukoba Tanzania.  We actively develop and stock authentic fair trade modern African art, crafts, home décor, fashion, jewelry and textiles.  We work directly with talented artisans across Africa to reveal the rich African culture and heritage with the world. 

All of our artifacts are unique and authentically handmade with love in Africa.  We ship from New York and we can arrange personal delivery to collectors in the North East region.  We are a member of the Fair Trade Federation, and a shared interest fair trade buyer.

●Payment 100% due prior to shipping

 

CUSTOM ORDERS

Custom orders are available.  There is a minimum of 30 pieces for custom orders.

Average production lead time is 8 weeks.  Custom orders are FINAL SALE. 

 

BACK ORDERS

Backorders becomes a wish list and we don’t ship without asking first.

 

RETURNS

All of our artifacts are handmade by African artisans not made in a factory.  Due to the nature of handmade, slight variations may occur.  While we strive for 100% customer satisfaction, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt.  Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns after this or issue refunds.  Please note, the right to return products does not apply to artifacts made to the customer’s specifications.

Orders ship within 3-5 business days

Orders ship from Mount Vernon, New York.

UPS Ground Shipping for domestic orders (you pay cost of shipping)

Unless otherwise indicated, items on our site are in stock and ready to ship while supply lasts.

Payment by Bank Transfer, PAYPAL, Cash App, Venmo and Zelle Accepted.

Company checks accepted once account is approved.
