Authentic large strand of jumbo sized grey mist recycled glass beads handmade by the Krobo people of Ghana. Glass beads are made by crushing glass to a fine powder and heating it up to fuse the particles together. The glass is then poured into a clay mold with a cassave leaf stem which makes the hole. The beads are then baked in an oven where the cassava stem burns up. This technique has been used in Ghana for centuries.
These beautiful strands will make a great impression when used for jewelry making, centerpieces for special jewelry, adornments for interior styling on table tops or a wall hanging to decorate your interior space.
Due to the nature of handmade, no two strands are the same. Each strand is unique and may vary slightly from strand pictured. Because of the size of these beads, it is not uncommon for a strand to have a few beads with internal fractures.
