Our Zig Zag Black and White Cameroon Shield is a great way to add character to a shelf, table or office. This shield features cowrie shells located on the outer edge that are hand carved from one piece of wood by the Tikar tribe of Cameroon, making each shield unique. The shields are adorned with a combination of glass beads, cowrie shells and manilla string.
Traditionally these shields were used as defensive weapons, decor or, ritual objects which symbolizes status and wealth.
